We are delighted to have been awarded an Energy Efficiency Grant by The Linbury Trust.
This vital support is allowing us to upgrade Northern Ballet's entire lighting system, which was first installed when the company moved into its purpose-built headquarters at Quarry Hill in 2010.
Replacing our existing lighting with LED lights will help increase our environmental sustainability, reducing energy consumption by approximately 37%.
As a recipient of the grant programme, we are excited to be part of an energy efficiency learning cohort which will be launching on 9 April. This cohort will consist of around 20 other organisations who have received grants, including other charities and other arts organisations. We look forward to sharing experiences and learning from the other grantees and sector experts, starting with our first learning cohort event on 9 April.
The Linbury Trust is a foundation that helps fund charities and other charitable organisations, particularly cultural institutions that work to improve people's wellbeing and opportunities.
We are incredibly grateful for this grant, which will make a truly significant difference to our building and energy use over the coming years.
