On Sunday afternoon, we were delighted to win the award for Digital Innovation at the UK Theatre Awards.
Nominated alongside Scottish Ballet and Hull Truck Theatre, the judges were impressed by our Bite-Sized Ballets season which saw three of our children's ballets shown in cinema for the first time at the beginning of the year.
Since then we have continued to grow our digital output; launching dance films on our Digital Dance website, presenting Cathy Marston's Victoria in cinemas in June, and this week will see our first live cinema broadcast as David Nixon OBE's Dracula is set to scare audiences across the UK, Ireland and Europe on Halloween.
The UK Theatre Awards are the only nationwide awards to celebrate the outstanding achievements of regional and national theatre. This year we were also nominated for the Excellence in Touring award.
