Nida is from Istanbul, Turkey and began training at DEU State Conservatory. She then trained at the John Cranko School and the European School of Ballet. She joined Northern Ballet in 2024.

Where were you born and raised? 

I was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey.  

At what age did you start dancing? 

I started with Rhythmic Gymnastics when I was four years old and decided to start doing ballet when I was around 11 years old.

Where did you train? 

I started training at the DEU State Conservatory of Ballet, then continued at the John Cranko School for two years and at the European School of Ballet for another two years.  

Career/training highlights 

Performing Metamorphosis Two by David Dawson at the European School of Ballet. It was an incredible experience to perform this expressive and beautiful piece.  

What do you like most about being a dancer? 

I would definitely say performing on stage. It is such a special feeling to be able to express ourselves through dance.
