Company Pianist
Ewan joined Northern Ballet in 2015 as a pianist with the professional Company, where he still plays along side his Academy duties. He also acted as Musical Director for Tortoise & the Hare on tour and will begin on Goldilocks & the Three Bears this coming autumn.
Ewan trained at Leeds College of Music and The Royal Northern College of Music, specialising as an Opera Répétiteur. Ewan was invited to act as the RNCM Sir John Fisher Foundation Répétiteur Junior Fellow, where he worked on the RNCM's award winning production of Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Ewan is in demand across the UK and Ireland as a vocal accompanist, often involved in classical festivals and concert series. He has worked as an accompanist in the Vocal department of RNCM and with the Hallé Youth Choirs and Orchestra. Ewan enjoys outreach work with companies such as Liverpool Phil and Live Music Now and is Musical Director for Sheffield-based Company, Opera On Location.
